FREESTANDING EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT

Texas Health Resources engaged DLA to design a 6,600 sq. ft. freestanding emergency department, the first of its kind. Working within the limitations of the existing unfinished space in the main building of the Texas Health Burleson project, DLA successfully developed plans for a fully functional, patient-friendly facility that includes a reception area, two triage rooms, three exam rooms, three treatment rooms, and two major rooms (cardiac and trauma), as well as doctor and nurse support areas. In conjunction DLA designed a helipad on the site to accommodate helicopter transport of patients to and from the facility.
