EXPERIENCE:
Tajiri joined the DLA team in 2017. Prior to that he worked as an architectural intern at a firm specializing in interior finish-outs. He initially enrolled at Austin Community College, where he pursued an architectural specialization in CAD software. His exceptional performance earned him a CAD tutoring position at the college. He continued to expand and develop his technical expertise after transferring to UTA and is currently proficient in various programs including, but not limited to, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino and Photoshop.
During his senior year at UTA, Tajiri served in a leadership role on the Executive Board of the school’s AIAS chapter. As a chapter event coordinator, he took advantage of multiple opportunities to network with professionals, organize events for students and bridge the gap between the two. He also gained construction experience while volunteering with AIAS’ Freedom by Design program that focuses on design-build community service projects.
Tajiri’s interests include environmental design, community development and socially conscious architecture. Recreationally, he enjoys listening to music, studying and practicing apologetics and playing basketball.
