TEXAS HEALTH BURLESON

Burleson, Texas

Fulfilling a vision to offer primary, specialty, ancillary and preventative care in a low-density campus setting in the City of Burleson, Texas Health Resources hired DLA to master plan an eight-acre medical complex and design three buildings as part of the first phase of development:

  • Building A: The main building is a 38,800 sq. ft. masonry and concrete tilt-up structure located at the center of the project. The finish-out includes an imaging department with MRI, x-ray and CT machines, a women's diagnostic area, a cardiac rehabilitation department, a physical therapy department and a fitness center with a three-lane, 25 meter lap pool.

  • Building B: Adjacent to the main building is a 6,035 sq. ft. steel-framed masonry and stucco building with a family practice physician's office. DLA was subsequently hired by the physician to design a 1,912 sq. ft. addition to accommodate two more doctors and additional patients.

  • Building C: Located on the outparcel closest to the street is a 7,870 sq. ft. wood-framed masonry and stucco building with a 3,414 sq. ft. ophthalmologist’s office and 4,455 sq. ft. of medical office/retail lease space.

Buildings B and C were designed with detailing to match the main building and unify the complex. DLA worked with both tenants to provide plans for each interior finish-out that met their practices’ unique needs.
